The Cocker Spaniel is known to be a wonderful family dog with an even temperament. This kind of family and kid friendly disposition makes the Cocker Spaniel a perfect choice for as a household pet. Cocker Spaniel pups are sweet, and very happy. The Cocker Spaniel has been described by many Cocker Spaniel breeders as a lively and endearing puppy. The Cocker Spaniel breed is also known for its trusting and gentle personality. Cocker Spaniels have average dog intelligence and are known to be trained well with lots of consistency.
The Cocker Spaniel breed is sturdy with a compact body, and has a beautiful, silky; medium-length coat. Cocker Spaniel coat colors can vary between a few colors. There are the most well known which are the buff colored Cocker Spaniels. There are also all black Cockers, and other solid colored Cocker Spaniels. There are also black-and-tan Cocker Spaniels, and parti-colored Cocker Spaniels.
The Cocker Spaniel has a little nose that can either be black or dark brown in color. Cute little Cocker Spaniel puppies have little baby faces, but their most noticeable feature is their big dark eyes that reach out to you and show how sweet they are. Cocker Spaniel pups are lively, and very playful. Most of all they are 100% devoted to you!
It is always recommended that you get your new Cocker Spaniel puppy from a well known and reputable Cocker Spaniel dog breeder. This is important because the pups need to be well socialized from a very early age. Most Cockers that are not well socialized early end up shy later on in life. Cocker Spaniels are known as being usually good with children. As for the right amount of exercise for the Cocker Spaniel dog breed, Cockers will do just fine in an apartment if they are exercised daily, or are active indoors. A small yard is sufficient, or daily walks outside are recommended.
Cocker Spaniel puppies love to play and are known to be quite active early on. As puppies, the Cocker Spaniel breed is full of energy and will need lots of play time to get tired enough to sleep or to take little naps with you. Now a day, the Cocker Spaniel is very popular and well known as a great family dog. The Cocker Spaniel is best known as the American Cocker Spaniel. The American Cocker Spaniel is a bit smaller than the English Cocker Spaniel and has subtle characteristics that are different.
